Hi guys,

I am sure Gemma (Hall) will be able to provide further substance to this, but, from my experience of doing such 'mass SKU amendments' we would need to ensure the front (Vend) and back end (NS) are aligned before pressing go.

That is to say, all Vend product mixes effected by the new SKUs are identified prior to moving the stock levels across to the newly created SKUs.

Without wanting to jump too deep straight away. Once these Vend SKUs are identified, is there anyway to utilise a csv upload to amend product receipes in Vend using the product SKU (Vend SKU, not Netsuite SKU).

ie Sydney SEALIFE Premium Photofolder (Vend SKU 210140)

Current product recipe:

210140

DS40PK68 2
MM-241 1
MMBPL001 1
IZ02 1

Would become:

210140

DS40PK68 2
MM-241 1
MMBPL001 1
IZ02-AU 1

I would suggest a phased regional approach and carrying out the actual Vend switch whilst the sites are offline.

I am sure there are other issues to align prior to this stage and apologies for possibly taking a micro approach straight away. In my previous role, we made such bulk transfer of stock SKUs every 6 months across 1200 SKUs. Admittedly only 6 live branches were affected but the process is pretty straight forward so figured I'd provide my 2c.

Thanks

Matt

Hi all,

As background the reason for this request is due to the current generic stock items having a different transfer price per market. As a result currently these SKUs have a transfer price of $0 in NetSuite. An inventory transfer data import will reference this $0 transfer price and value the transfer accordingly, i.e. at $0.

So if the generic stock are split out by market the market specific transfer price can be entered into NetSuite and the correct value picked up when inventory transfers are processed via CSV import.

Thanks,
Stephen

Subject: Generic SKU unique identification initiaitve

Hi Team,

For improved  Netsuite - Vend - Mainchain process, Stephen Cox has requested unique SKUs be applied to our range of generic stock items (eg for key rings FZ02NZ , FZ02UK, FZ02USA etc...).

This action is necessary before we can reach full  integration.

Not being across the complexities or otherwise of this action, but to get the ball rolling  I assume the following process:

  1.  Identify all active generic stock in use
  2.  Allocate unique region centric SKUs
  3.  Enter these SKUs into Netsuite, Vend, Mainchain and our own master data systems
  4.  Advise suppliers of the new SKUs to be referenced and documented on cartons
  5.  Discuss with Mainfreight how these new SKUs are best phased in (and current phased out etc)
Expect I have overlooked every possible technical and practical reality involved in this initiative, so please review and come back with your expertise.

Once we have a better appreciation of exactly what is required, we will allocate responsibilities. Action needs to be completed by 24th June.

Thanks,

Duane
